The West
Indies cricket team will tour Bangladesh to play a full-fledged series later
this year. This bilateral series consists of two Tests, three ODIs and as many
T20Is. It will be the hosts’ first full series against the Caribbean cricket
team on their home ground since 2012. This series will be organized in three
cities- Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.
The West
Indies cricket team is expected to visit Bangladesh on November 15 and will travel
to Chattogram on the same day. Here, in the port city, the visitors will play a
two-day practice match against BCB XI at MA Aziz Stadium on November 18-19 that
will be followed by the first Test to be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from
November 22-26. The second Test will take place at Sher-e-Bangla National
Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Dhaka from November 30 to December 4.
Before the
start of the ODI series, both teams will play one-off ODI warm-up match.
However, it is not yet sure if the match will be palyed either at Khan Shaheb
Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah or at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP)
in Savar on December 6. Among three ODI matches, first two will be played at SBNCS
on December 9 and 11 respectively while the 3rd one-day
international match will be organized at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium
(SICS) on December 14.
After the
end of the ODI series, both of them will face each other to play the 1st
T20I match of the three-match T20I series at SICS on December 17. The remaining
two T20Is will be played at SBNCS on December 20 and 22 correspondingly.
